6 ft Hambones and W series mills use oval-link chain that is 3/4 or 7/8 link-length. I didn't measure the piece I have at the shop, but it would be a size larger for 8 footers. Like maybe 1 or 1 1/8. I think so. Considering water runs around 8 pounds a gallon. But I have no idea how much the tank-towers held.

You cannot lift the mill, fan, and tail out of the tower by hand. Well, unless you have very close hereditary connection to either Samson, or Arnold.
