Re: Drawings to put together monitor 8ft hambone
that's fine, no problem. Wording is as follows......Pumprod screws in to head gear, and goes down the neckpipe, inside the pullout tube. There is a swivel on the end of it so that the head can rotate, and the swivel not rotate. The Mainshaft is pressed into the fan (wheel) hub, and goes into the cas...

Re: Drawings to put together monitor 8ft hambone
here is a parts list for a Hambone. If it's too small let me know. You should be able to blow it up I think.
Here is a Dempster pullout tube. very similar to a Hambone one. Measurements are different though.

Re: Pull over lever
Not sure about that. If the lever is mounted on the inside of the tower leg, it should automatically go over -center when you pull down. We usually put a wire ring around the leg to slide up over the handle anyway to hold it.

For 6 or 8 ft mills, I usually make them 2 ft or so. Give or take.

Re: Pulling a Dempster no 12 6" engine
We have pulled them before using the crosshead tie IF, IF the setscrews are tight, and they are threaded into the case properly. However, we usually pull the tail open and strap it to the outer band of the wheel, (by an arm) and go around under the pulleys in the back, and under the snout in the fro...

Re: Happy Birthday
I think it's another one of those dastardly things the human race has to endure. These things pop up all the time it seems. I get a flu shot every year. Not the covid shot though. Will wait for a while and when they get it right, maybe I will. I did get other shots this year, one for pneumonia, one ...
