Got this idea from Phil Gehman at Great Plains Windmill Service. They install their business name plates on the ground furl lever for the client to have their contact information.

I don' know what they used in Chicago, but I'm sure it was lead based. Here are some pics of the paint Aermotor San Angelo was using a few years ago when I picked up some windmills at the factory. I was never a fan of hub taps as they have a tendency to make the threaded hole more loose than already is.. What I have done is to take an aermotor thread bolt and cut 2 flutes in it. I cut the flutes in with either an angle grinder or chopsaw with a thin blade. Angle the flute to the leading edge ...
