I’m not the guy to advise on the old glass battery alchemy. Never had the interest or time to dicker with them. Now turn the grid off and I bet I’ll get motivated. I believe there’s plenty of support out there if you want to go down that path. Maybe someone else on the forum has some experience

Good question, Wincharger started painting the 32V machines "chrome" yellow in 1940. Each paint mfg seems to have a slightly different chrome yellow shade so you're going to have to pick one you like. Not a unrealistic dream...The 32V bulbs and appliances are out there if you can find them or willing to pay up. I see the bulbs frequently on ebay. Many collect that stuff, I don't unless it just falls in my lap You could get about any electric appliance in 32V, not just the common fan, radio and ...

Hey Mike, those are great finds,... treasures in my book. You may want to pull that prop down and balance it. It is possible to balance with it mounted if there’s ever a windless day up there. Lift brushes to reduce as much rotational drag as you can. The large governors can need balancing too. ...

Glad you joined the forum Mike. It’s been a while since I picked that vane up but pretty sure the owner said it was off a wind gen. Not solid evidence so maybe I’ll work on embellishing the story.
