Re: Military wind generator mystery

Absolutely no markings on it other that what you see in the pics. I’ve had 2 different sources say it’s a WWII field generator. One says it was made by Fairbanks-Morse, can’t confirm that yet.

Thanks guys, glad you enjoyed it. Researching the early wind companies is almost as fun as hunting the machines.

Re: WindPower 2.5kw pictures

Great pictures Jim, thanks for sharing. I’ve heard a few stories about Roland Coulson and his amazing wind generator collection. Heard he kept hand guns and live hand grenades strategically located in his shop. Also heard about him hunting down guys from Arkansas that stole some machines from him. S...

NOS 32V Wincharger on eBay

A very nice NOS early 32V Wincharger. Looks like a 650W ca 1939. Hopefully it goes to a museum.

Re: Help ID a vaneless windmill

Thanks Wayne, I was on the road all last week and without my Baker windmill bible. I suppose it could be an early model that didn’t have the counterweight or it could just be missing. I’ll look at closer next time.
