Re: 32v Jacobs

Hey Wayne, I really appreciate the tip you gave me, I was able to pick up some great parts. The Canton guy, Rick, had much more than what you saw in Canton. Over a period of 4-5 months, Rick dug through a coon infested barn in Iowa finding quite a few treasures. He found a mostly complete Nelson ...

Re: 32v Jacobs

Love to see pics Steve. The 80+ year old Jake generator design is probably the most reliable machine ever built. I know lots of folks still flying them. The guy in pic has been flying his model 45 since 1980..on his 3rd set of brushes.

Re: Rusty tailvane

I saw the ad on craigslist and went to look at it yesterday. I'd not seen the shape before and the reason is its a homemade wind generator tail, heavy gauge steel. Came from around Sweetwater, Tx area. Even though its homemade, I liked it enough to take it home. For future reference, there's a pre ...

Thanks Paul for getting the new forum up and running. Looks like a great success already. And thank you for creating a vintage wind generator forum. I buy, sell, trade vintage wind generators or wind chargers, primarily pre REA , all makes and models. Its a hobby, I find the history interesting and ...

Re: 32v Jacobs

Here is a Jacobs Twin I displayed last Oct at the Texas Early Day Engine & Tractor Show. The other wind chargers are a 1938 United Motor Service (Delco) 1000W and a 6V Wincharger Streamliner...

Re: zenith

Howdy, yes David Ballinger passed away in Nov. He was the guru for Wincharger 6V machines. There will be a write up on him in the Spring Windmillers' Gazette.
