Here is what I ended up fabricating.

Does anyone have a picture of the connector rfom the bottom of the windmill to the 2 x 2 pump rod?

How would you set up a decorative only windmill (Dempster) that would still work in the wind, but not get destroyed because of no load?

I have done it successfully on a chinese vise once. I'm in mesa..
