Agree Ron!!! For now that's what we are doing, just letting it overflow. It's honestly not that much because as mentioned I've got the pitman arms on the low flow setting and we're not in a particularly windy area. I have an 8 ft. Aermotor A702 mill filling a 700 gallon water trough. I have the pitman arms set on the low flow setting and a 2 in. well cylinder and it sill pumps more water than needed. Thanks! So leaving it in water overnight made a difference. It is now pumping water! But if the sucker rod is moving slowly, like in a light wind, I get no water. Is that normal? Shouldn't I get a least a little bit of water regardless of the speed, as long as the sucker rod is moving?
