Re: Found a starter Mill project
Yours is not an early 802 as those were the green weenies out of Conway. It was built in 1991, five years after production started in San Angelo. The helmet is an anomaly though in addition to that crate for the motor. 802 motors with metal helmets were shipped bolted to the pallet. If the fglass he...

Re: What Tower
RP It appears to be on private land so in open carry states, social distancing applies... That is close enough to Balew's in skull Valley that they would know about it or worked on it. I have talked to them but it's been a while. I will stop in and get the skinny. I have a 1/2 dozen windmills in tha...

Re: What Tower
RP That is a very unique set up. Is that out in the Superstitions or ranch country in the Quartzite direction? It is worthy enough that I would like to check it out in a few months when back to AZ if you would provide location? You can PM if you want to keep the location private. That is 90% likely ...

Re: the Uncompahgre Plateau
Onto the railroad excursion on the steam train out of Durango .
Make sure you reserve on the "real" steam pusher as they have some #2 diesel pushers after causing that last big fire

Re: the Uncompahgre Plateau
Depending on where you were, you may have been out outside of the Unc? It is north of 141 and west of 550 and ends at Dallas Divide. 550 from Silverton to Dwango is some of our prettiest mountains. The Weimunche Wilderness is east of 550 and the most pristine area of CO. Lots of 14ers and 13ers in t...

Re: 8 ft Toronto wheel
My intent on posting about the changing out of the cast clips by US Aermotor was that the CA Airmotor seems to have continued them for a lot longer? My repro wheel doesnt have the bent ends. Heck, I couldnt even get reiveting on the cast clips. I like them as installers would have to get the wheels ...

Re: 8 ft Toronto wheel
Peter A good while back when you had said about satin hot dip, I had done some research then. This video done by AGA gives some background on how you get appearance variations. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyY31DNXjxk&list=PLiClI-NGgd9ZM8O95BDoOMRxBlsFM9y0V&index=2 It did seem like USA Ae...

Re: Bad Water Areas - the Case for Solar
I am back from a very extended work trip and have some time to research on your issues. 1 Is it the pump end or motor that went out? As I said earlier, Gf uses the same motor on all their sqf series and just the pump end is varied for application. Gf does not sell pump ends and motors separate. 2 I ...
