Re: New here from Southern Ohio

Midnite Solar has MPPT controllers that handle wind or solar inputs in 3 models - 150, 200 and 250 VDC rated open circuit input and nominal battery voltage output field selectable of 12, 24, and 48 VDC. Mike, I am guessing the Voc of 110 wind prop would be under 200 Voc? Even if you set a Midnite 20...

Re: Roger's 502

Jud I remambered roger's case being obscure but didn't remember all the details. You were smart to get it out of there before I showed up for the rest of his aemotor inventory.... Re: Aeromotor Windmill Restoration... Where to start?

Some background on the 612. The model 602 was built almost 10 years before the 612 was introduced in 1925. The 612 was pulled from production that same year introduced. Aermotor didnt keep any of the 612 changes and went back to producing the 602 as before for another almost 7 years. The 612 oiling ...

Re: Happy birthday Ron Stauffer!

Thanks guys! Greg texted last evening and wondered what I was up to. I told him I was baking my own cake so I got what I wanted and sent him a pic. He said I needed to share it with vintage windmillers. So here is the pic, I think that is what he meant... . attachment=0]e189de62-17c7-4e80-a7a8-1d3e4...

Re: Early Dempster 10 Ft Windmill Project

A good while back, I ran across these for sale. The seller had worked at Dempster and they were NOS. It was around the time that I purged all my non Aermotor, so I didnt buy them...

Re: new in Canada

So the backgearing should be the same as aermotor especially if the small gear has 14 teeth and the large gear 46. The stroke length I was looking for was for the pump rod. I would guess similar to aermotor's actual of 7.25? This is why I asked Peter for this as his was assembled. A Southern Cross w...

Re: new in Canada

The fact that an aermotor wheel will bolt right on has my interest piqued. Jerry since yours is disassembled, could you measure the outside diameter of both large and small gears? ⁷ Peter, since yours is assembled, could you provide the actual long stroke length? I am wondering how close these will ...

Re: new in Canada

I measured an inner band of an aermotor and it is very close 19 and 7/8. That is measured from the center of the big hole to the center of the big hole.on the band. You can measure your inner band the same way.and if it is close you are good.

Re: new in Canada

As a check, the radius of 19 on an inner band should equate to an OC measurement of inner band attachment holes to the wheel arms of. between 19 and 7/8 and 20.

Re: new in Canada

If as Peter says that an aermotor wheel will bolt right on then the radius of 19 and 37 are close enough for windmill tolerances.
