Yep, just let me know if you need part pics. I also have some info, along with a write up & measurements from Paul Cowley.

Re: Phelps and Bigelow I.X.L windmill

Dan, here are some pics: https://vintagewindmillforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=1215&hilit=IXL These are some pics from Ivan, back geared in front, DS in rear. I have that DS mill ... I actually believe it has a 9" wheel, but have not had it together to measure. Wheel bands are flat stock, bent t...

Re: Phelps and Bigelow I.X.L windmill

Well ... I happen to know a guy with a couple. :o

Dan, what parts are you needing picks of? I have two that are scattered about my garage. Do you have any pics of the one you are looking at?

Re: Platform for 3-legged Aermotor Tower

I thought there were measurements in the library section here. We did have that in the old forum. Roger and I worked on a drawing based on original that he had. I cannot open the file that I have saved. It is a DFT file or something like that and I apparently no longer have the program. Here is a P...

Re: 602 wheel

For some strange reason none of the 602s early or later have a date stamp on the hoop or shaft up here in NY. Dan Here are my thoughts on what you are seeing, and I see it too. I believe 1)shaft was replaced at some point or 2) More likely, with the humidity, moisture, & more acidic rain that w...

Re: F&W sails

I thought I posted this before, I do have an extra wheel (bands were torched instead of unbolted). But ... I am in Michigan. Also have some other parts (no tail hinge casting though). Dan Benjamin had recast tail castings.

Re: 602 wheel

Michael if you look at the end of the shaft better you'll see 8 2 0 . My guess is Aermoter did this as a repair or upgrade. My transition Bell Hub has been stamped on the end of the shaft too. Only time I've seen it. Very early 602s were stamped on the shaft end, there was no flat on the hoop. I do...

Re: babbitt putty alternative

If it doesn't leak like real babbitt putty ... then there is no fun left. I have seen people using this for casting low temp metals, usually in a flat open faced mold. How well will it stay in place on say a horizontal shaft/housing? What about if the sand is around a shaft at the bottom of a vertic...

Aermotor wine???

I started making wine this year. Why I don't know, as I really don't care for it. But I thought you guys would like the labels that my daughter created and had printed for me. Not sure where she got the graphic, but definitely Aermotor.
