Aermotor A502

Hi everyone, I noticed the letters SSUER stamped on the shaft in front of the hub, is this a date code or something?

This is a 502 with the spring buffers cast on the case. Why does it already have those bumps where the 602 buffer would hit? Are all 502 like that?

Did any other manufacturers have that?

Re: 8 ft Toronto wheel

Some of the Double Geard open Toronto literature that I have is from 1925 and it still lists the cast clips, so I would say that they made those clips into the 1920's. I also like the kink in the bands.

Re: 8 ft Toronto wheel

Hi Ron, interesting video. I wish they would do nice galvanizing like that here now. The last stuff I sent out to get done they didn't even take the bundles apart and dipped the whole thing. They did a crappy job and also loose stuff every time. Your Toronto wheel looks great, does it have the bent ...

Re: 8 ft Toronto wheel

Yes the earlier open geared Toronto had cast iron clips and the later self oiling had sheet metal clips

8 ft Toronto wheel

Hi everyone, I bought this Toronto wheel at a local auction. It was bent up pretty bad, I had to totally dismantle it and re roll it. Looks like it was stored inside most of its life and has really nice galvanizing. Anyone ever see galvanizing with flower looking flakes like that. I have three Toron...
