B602/B702 vane as they are interchangeable.
The tailbone (i.e., the metal piece holding the vane to the gearbox) are different between the 602 and 702, but the vanes from either the B702 or B602 will bolt to either tailbone…the older 602 or the newer 702. Hope that makes sense.

Re: Kevin's b602 project
V spokes B602.
The spread where the nuts are on the V spokes…you’ll have to bend the V spread to insert them through the hub and then bend them back to align with the wheel band holes.

Re: Kevin's b602 project
Here are some measurements. I picked a better tape measure so you could read the measurements. Vane and V spokes to follow in a subsequent post. On the forum, the images sometimes rotate in a post from how they were taken. So clicking on an image will rotate generally to how the photo was taken or s...

Re: Oil leaking
I was sort of thinking that if it was a 602, the rebuilder might had forgotten the spacer washer(s) at the end of snoot and between the hub.

Re: Kevin's b602 project
Kevin, Welcome to the forum. I’d still be inclined to try and find some bull gears as the oiling system is a circulatory system and without the oil circulating, the Babbitt in the snoot will wear even faster. Now if it is going to rotate on the tower and only very rarely even actually spin (i.e., be...

Whatever keeps the elements out (referring to patching the bonnet) or to your preference.

Re: new in Canada
Mike - Thank you. I’ve also seen the “top hat” method where a piece of thin sheet metal is placed on top of the bonnet top, for when a bonnet had rust on its flat top. The thing with JB weld, you can use it on the inside and outside of the bonnet. Then mask your repair efforts with cold galvanizing ...

Re: new in Canada
For the bonnet and bullet holes, you might try JB weld unless you’re good at welding thin metal. I’m sure others will have better recommendations.

The 8’ and the 9’ are identical in all aspects from my recollection and both having 5 wheel arms. The 10’ goes up to 6 wheel arms.
