Re: FE Meyers Pump (Barn Find)

Thanks for all the input. Not sure I'm clear on the nomenclature. I see 2 rods. A rod which is from the mill to the wood safety link which connects to the pump body. (Not really a pump) And a rod which connects to the pump body and goes down to the actual pump in the well. That is the rod where I ha...

Re: FE Meyers Pump (Barn Find)

OK, got a question. Looking for some more great insights. My FE Meyers pump has a 1/2 bolt formed from the flat stock which connects to the mill. My pump section which has 2 leathers essentially needs a 5/8 bolt or rod. How do I make the transition from 1/2 bolt to 5/8 female treads. Looked for a re...

Re: Need direction on how to connect the mill to the pump.

Thank You, pictures really help. And they say there are no dump questions, here goes. If you release from the pump shaft dose the part dangle, and move with the mill. Also like how the part allows for adjustment in overall length. I used a similar part on the other end of my 2*2, just doesn't have t...

Need direction on how to connect the mill to the pump.

Pictures or advise. Yes my F.E. Meyers pump has the square shaft. I can hang a 3/8 rod from the mill. How do I make a slick connection that will allow for service. I could envision a pin that when pulled would disconnect the mill from the pump. While everything slips but stays aligned for reconnecti...

Re: I know it's from an F.E. Meyers pump.

Not sure what these parts are for.

Thanks windybob you are always a great help.

Climbed up to service my 1903 Aermotor, all is well.
Keep the tail pulled in at about 45, still turns plenty for me.
Locked down for 4 months of wind here in Oregon.

Was the 1903 mill an A-402?

Re: I know it's from an F.E. Meyers pump.

Very nice diagram, I will get the leathers on order from the hardware store listed in the parts area.

Now way back at the top of my thread are 2 parts (Pictured) that I'm not sure what they are or how used.

Re: I know it's from an F.E. Meyers pump.

Thanks for the information and direction. The leathers for my usage act more as guides.

Now please put your thinking caps on and tell what the 2 parts shown are used for......thanks

I know it's from an F.E. Meyers pump.

Also know it's the sucker rod.
But what are the round discs for?
Guides?
Do they form a water seal.

Next 2 parts are shown, any info would help.
I know one part slides on the square bar out the top of the pump.
But what holds it.

Where might I find parts for my Meyers pump?

Thanks
