Part 2 in Albany there was a memorial for men from Georgia who came to fight in the Texas Revolution and were massacred at Goliad with Fannin. Neat story That's it drove on home with mu memories.

Re: Road Trip
Ok I know it may bore some people. It was without a doubt the best trip I've taken except for going to Wyoming and Yellowstone with my kids last year. I started in Avenger Tx at the WASP museum. Didn't get to see it all as they were having a big dinner that night and I couldn't go into hanger 3. I'v...

Re: Don’s Windmills
Might be like an experience I had once. Bought a new tractor seat from a guy in Il. Waited never heard anything, he cashed my check. Get a tractor magazine and he had died. Then his kids wouldn't give me my money back nor the seat.

Road Trip
Hello everyone. I'm home from my 10 day 1600 mile road trip. Visited 18 Museums and historical sites. Have some neat windmill pictures. I bought a new phone and am having trouble figuring out how to get my pictures from the phone to the computer. Did it once but can't remember what I did to get it t...

Re: Windmill attractions around Texas: Dublin, Comanche, Austin?
In Comanche there is a windmill at their History Museum put up by Cliff Conway. Are you driving from Washington or flying in. If driving there is a windmill farm close to Granbury in Tolar and of course there is Lubbock with plenty of windmills to see.

Re: Eclpise Country
The size of the universe is amazing. When you look at the sun through the glasses and it is just a small orange dot way up in the sky it wasn't what I thought I'd see.

Re: Eclpise Country
Thought I'd post these two pictures my nephews wife took of the eclipse. I think the one with the solar flares is really neat.

Re: Eclpise Country
Awesome! It kinda unique to watch the wispy clouds go across the sun and moon during the eclipse. I put a tarp on the grass, got my pillow and enjoyed the show. Didn't get as dark as they talked like it would. Still you could see stars and you had to take the glasses off to se the covered sun. Don't...

Eclpise Country
It's not looking good for the Eclipse viewers this morning unless some of the cloud cover burns off by 1 PM. I had our Pioneer Village open yesterday and as I was thinking of going home about 2:30 a family from Panama City Florida showed up. It will be their second Eclipse if they get to see it toda...
