On my 6' Dempster #12 the mast is 1 7/8" and the clamp (1227n) is 1 7/8" but the outside hole in the main frame (01201n) is 2", also the hole in the bearing cap (01255) is 2". Will I have to preheat the main shaft to weld up the keyway with a mig welder? Trying to repair the loose keyway on the main shaft by welding then recut it on a mill. Don/t have to repair the whole keyway, just where the gears set. Thanks, Tom

Thanks for the replies, one other question, the manual says the pullout swivel bolts to the pullout tube to keep it from turning with the head. It looks like to me that the pullout tube needs to turn with the head to keep the pullout chain from getting tighter as the head rotates,

On a 6' Dempster #12 what does the two teeth on the inside of the larger (Bull) gears do or what are they for? Also does the pump rod go inside of the pullout tube? Thanks, Tom

I also read that the hinge hole is offset, would it just be a little off center?
