I have a Jacobs from the Alaskan pipeline
in use by me from 1984 .
It's off now due to a broken blade shaft 1"long in the blade activated governor casting
So Josephine could you snap a photo of your governor so I can see the type please?

Had blade shaft break today with my 1937 1800W Jacobs wind gen.
The governor is blade actuated type, upgraded around 1960 with rewind to 120V.
Over all working fine from 1980 when i perched it from the mid west.
