Mike Neat pump. There are a ton of Aermotor windmills in my area but I have never seen a Aermotor pump under one. Thanks for posting.

Thanks to all who posted pictures and information on these. Can't say I have ever seen a big mill or a power mill in person. There were a lot of things in my back yard so to speak that I never knew about.

hwy8 Thanks for posting the pictures. That's a neat set up. Lots of old cisterns around in my area. Some are in basements under the kitchen and had a well pump in the kitchen sink. At least it had something that looked like oil in it. Seen a lot of them with nothing. I rented a pasture years ago and went to change the oil in the mill and I don't think any oil had been put in the mill in twenty or thirty years and they had been pumping water with it. We have a Aermotor on one of our farms that was put up in the 20's that you can still read the lumber yards name and town it was sold in on the towers legs. Its on the inside of the legs so its some what protected. It must of been some good paint back then.
