Eddie,
Since I am retired, most any time would be good for me. Just let me know when and where.

Hey Eddie,
I live in Georgetown and if you want I might be able to drive to your place and take a look if you want to sell.

Re: Newbie Needs help with Identifying these motors
Both are 702s; small one X-702 and was produced with a 6 ft wheel; the larger an A-702 was produced with an 8 ft wheel. Parts for both, especially the A-702 are readily available, either used or remanufactured.

Re: Grease plungers
Hey, Jims I have a model K that is suitable for restoration, it has 4 grease cups and two like you're looking for. Not sure I'm ready to part with it just now. Also, have a model E that is probably beyond restoration which has two grease plungers which I probably don't need. Haven't tried to remove ...

Re: 14ft Aermotor E602 with E702 guts?
Check the front of the gear case just left of the hub. Cast letter D would be 12 foot and letter E would be 14 foot and 602 or 702 would be model number.

Re: identify windmill fan
cmarr6 I have been involved in building several wooden towers for six foot Aermotor mills. Regardless of size, the process should be the same. Also, constructed a wooden tower for a B702 using upright treated pine timbers 6"x6"x 24' with a 5 ft stub tower. After having visited with many wi...

Re: 6 foot areomotor ?
The buffer device on all size Aermotor windmills is to keep the tailbone from slamming into the back, left side of the gear case. The counter to this is the tailbone spring, so with both working together, they eliminate violent movements of the tailbone in very strong winds. And, of course, the whee...

Re: New guy in the U.P. of Michigan needs help
First of all, the Aermotor X - 602 was manufactured with a 6 ft. wheel, so if you have an 8 ft wheel, it is likely for some other windmill, possibly an A-602. X means 6 ft., A means 8ft, B means 10 ft and so on in Aermotor windmills.

Re: X702 oil collector
First of all, are you using a new oil collector? when installed with a new snout bearing, the oil collector has to be ground down at the outer end with a slightly rounded top so it will just clear the inside of the hub casting as the hub rotates. It may take several attempts of grinding and re-seati...
