Orchard Tower

Generally speaking, this area is for general discussion about windmills, in most cases.

Orchard Tower

Found this in an old Country Gentleman magazine last night. Doesn't look very stable mounted on a tractor. Has anybody ever seen one?

Watch out for the low hanging power lines.

The places I typically drive my tractor would shake that thing to pieces in a heartbeat. He must have had paved avenues through his orchard for the tower to hold together while being moved.

I will say the orchards I've seen in California are pretty tidy and well manicured. So maybe you could drive it around if the trees are spaced right, but man standing on that thing 25 ft in the air swinging a stick doesn't sound like any thing I would want to do!
