Reeves TiteKote

Generally speaking, this area is for general discussion about windmills, in most cases.

Reeves TiteKote

Post by PaulV »

I believe this is a sail section from a Heller-Aller Baker mill. Been sitting in my shop for a couple of years. Today I noticed faint lettering on one of the sails. It appears that Heller-Aller sourced their galvanized sheet from Reeves TiteKote???

Not a very exciting find, but thought I'd share.

Paul: That appears to be a section that Pat Hunt may have built as the factory never used the center bolt holding the sail to the chair. The Reeves Titekote was a trademarked name from the 1950's for galvanized sheet metal. Interesting... what is the history of that section? Do you know where it originated?

I picked up the section from Grezmonki when I purchased a New Elgin from him. I didn't think to ask about it's history or origin.

I bought a new 8ft Heller Aller in 1982 and a few of the sails had Reeves Titekote on them
