OK, got a question.
Looking for some more great insights.

My FE Meyers pump has a 1/2 bolt formed from the flat stock which connects to the mill.
My pump section which has 2 leathers essentially needs a 5/8 bolt or rod.
How do I make the transition from 1/2 bolt to 5/8 female treads.
Looked for a reducing coupler or bushing.

Let the magic of the forum begin.

Have a machine shop make you one from brass. It worked for me. I made one before, but it's hard to get everything really straight. That's why I recommend machine shop.
Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number.

There are ready made adapters out there for sucker rod but standard sizes are 7/16 and 5/8. If yours is truly 1/2, you can adapt by welding all thread couplers together.

Thanks for all the input.
Not sure I'm clear on the nomenclature.

I see 2 rods.

A rod which is from the mill to the wood safety link which connects to the pump body. (Not really a pump)

And a rod which connects to the pump body and goes down to the actual pump in the well.
That is the rod where I have the 1/2 to 5/8 need.

I like the idea of welding 2 couplers together.
