Wow thank you Windybob! What a wealth of knowledge. I used to hang around in the garages when I was a kid and ask millions of questions. Now they are all gone. Its kind of sad no one builds or fixes anything anymore. There's a big steel mill in Regina where semi loads of old iron are being melted down. I feel like I'm in a race against time to try a d save some of this stuff. I appreciate your patience and help

You bet. If you know of any scrappers, or anyone like that I your area, tell them if they come across ANYTHING that has gears, or 'fans' Or looks anything like an old windmill, to call you asap. You will give them twice the scrap price. That's still cheap! I have done that with all that I know to call. All the farmers, even, that clean up behind the barn, they even bring me stuff. The guy in the car junkyard has gotten me lots.

Hey windybob
The only bearing I could find is a Timken 39250 not really a thrust bearing do u think it will work. For the main swivel on my butler. Not cheap either $197.00 I really wanted a thrust bearing
