As Dan said metal on metal ... specifically cast on cast. Let me know what other pics that you need (or measurements). Mine is 98% finished and in my shop area ... another thing I did not get finished this year!

And you seem to be in a land with quite a few F&W's ... I would hold out and keep searching for an original Star 12 wheel.

So on my second trip to go pick up the tower I found this piece. It has the same part numbers as all the regulator stuff "T" 95, 96, 97. I'm sure it's a part of the regulator. No clue where it goes or what it does. Any ideas? It does pay to do a thorough scouring of the site root through the grass a bit.

Aha. So it does belong. And it is wired to the counterbalance thingy? What does it do?
