Legs are about 3 feet with 8 inches of heavy angle iron welded at 90 degrees.
The entire pad will be tied together with rebar.
Including rebar tied to each leg.
The form is 6-10 inches thick.
It would have to take the entire pad.

Remember to go up there and oil it after about 10 hours of running time. That is the drawback to the open geared windmill. It was better than no windmill at all.
