Looking for help with windmill.

A elderly relative has a Baker windmill, with a 30 foot tower.

He wants to get rid of it. A guy wants to give him $150.

It has a small 5 or 6 foot wheel.

I could only make out that it was a Baker on the gear wheel.

Questions:

1. I assume that it should have some kind of model number somewhere?

2. How do I figure out how much it is worth?

Thx😊

Welcome to the forum.

Manufacturer/ model numbers are not always clear, but with pictures someone on here can help ID it.

Price is subjective based upon wheel size/condition, tail vane there, rarity, availability of parts, location, is the tower up or laid down, is the tower straight? Rarity is nice, but means parts are likely difficult to obtain. There are more variables than I mentioned.

Consider putting your location on here and someone might offer you more just knowing it is likely Baker on a 30’ tower.

Thx CTX
Updated location

Windmill taken down 10+ years ago to move and fix up, never got a round tuit😏 guesstimate that it is at least 80 years old.

Snow to deep last week to get a good look at it.

If the wheel and vane are in excellent condition, they alone are worth $300. But seldom is that the case.

Yes, first put your pictures in your memory in your phone or computer. If in your computer, click on attachments on the page you are writing on. Then it will bring up a section where I think it says upload photo. that will trigger your computer to show your pictures you have saved. I think then you double click on the one you want to post. it will load the picture and then you click on where it says insert it or something. it should put it where you left off writing.
Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number.
