Windmill Weight?

Have a part you can't identify? Did your parts get mixed up in the shop? Curious if that chunk of metal is a part you should keep? Not sure what kind of windmill or tower you have? Post photos of the mystery object here for the community to help identify.

Windmill Weight?

Post by topcop491 »

There were two of this ball shaped items on a recent auction. They were claiming to be windmill weights. Maybe a regulator weight?

Not to highjack your post, but I saw this alleged acorn windmill weight and was curious if 1) it is a windmill weight and 2) if so, what mill?

I vote that it is not a windmill weight. It attaches at the top. I bet it is a weight that was used to keep a gate closed.
