I'm gonna say farm implement the center hole looks to big for a windmill shaft Mike

Mike the only other thing i can think of is it might be part of a horizontal windmill but they usually were big in diameter.are there any markings on the hub

Farm Implement part of the header that brings the grain into the cutter bar would have two with slats between them, it rotated. It's got a name can't think of it right at the moment. Does the same as the part in another thread.

Yep I would agree, maybe an early John Deere thresher reel hub. Looks like I’m 0 fer 2 on these part ids. I’m going back to wind gens....

John Deere Binder hub, I have replaced wood in many of them.
