ID tower

Have a part you can't identify? Did your parts get mixed up in the shop? Curious if that chunk of metal is a part you should keep? Not sure what kind of windmill or tower you have? Post photos of the mystery object here for the community to help identify.

I've got a tower with the twisted wire like that I've always thought it was a dempster but don't know for sure.

Wire brace tensioners is similar to t.hoops mine has dempster type tower top without dempster part numbers did early dempster towers have that type wire brace tensioners?

The tightener goes thru the girt instead of tower leg bolt

That is a re-purposed Dempster top. Standard bolting holes are not used here. I don't know about the early wires going through eyebolts, but it would be feasable.

Can you show some steps or a ladder?

Will post a photo tomorrow ladder is very narrow with flat bar rungs rivetted in place

T.hoop i thought we would quickly get your tower (and mine) identified may take a while longer. Do you have photos of your tower top and ladder

Okay let's try this...take a picture of where the twisted wire ends are put together. I will compare it to a Dempster slice, and a Stover splice. Usually they are unique to each maker.

I have seen those eyebolts before. I just don't remember what tower they came from.

Thanks to everyone for the help. The tower does not have the cap but I will post pic of the wire and ladder.
