1903 RA Aremotor Right, I bought a basket case.

Have a part you can't identify? Did your parts get mixed up in the shop? Curious if that chunk of metal is a part you should keep? Not sure what kind of windmill or tower you have? Post photos of the mystery object here for the community to help identify.

Thanks to Mister Ed because I have this feathering thing on the run.
The fitting that is on Part #36 appears to set at the end mounting tube.
Checked that today, guess it adds more stability.
Tried to place it in about the right place. As pictured.
As you folks will see the bar is too short.
When I married the Aremotor stub to the Demster tower I placed the support thinking it was just for stability.
That's why they invented a welder and spray paint.
Can't find Part #83, guess I will hit up Dan in South Dakota. Here I come Dan.

Just get a little piece of 3/8 rod and bend it. I can get you measurements, they are not critical.
Thanks,

Hard to tell, but I'm not so sure #36 is too short. It must end before it gets to that casting (on phone and can't get to part #). If it's too long your head will not be able to rotate.

Have you test fit all of the furling parts, including the head?
Thanks,
Ed

You are very observant.
#36 may not be too short.
#37 slides into #126
I will not know until the mill is placed on the tower.
Dan made the observation that my part #314 is not as shown in the parts layout.
Mine have open ends. Hate to take the blades apart.

Correct, #37 slides up and down in #126. #36 goes through #13 (which nests inside the ring on #37). #135 and #26 also go through #13. Pic below should help some.

#314?? Must be the spacers for the spokes, based on your yellow arrows.

If you take the wheel apart, I would still take the head then throw it on the mast pipe on your tower (even with the tower laying as it is) and fit in all the furling parts. Easier to figure things out and fix on the ground than in the air.

Have decided that Dan's observation that my part 134 spacers with open ends are problematic has lot's of merit.
I have decided add security with stainless steel aviation wire.
Don't think this wheel every had a problem, but hey why not add the security.
