Windmill part?

Have a part you can't identify? Did your parts get mixed up in the shop? Curious if that chunk of metal is a part you should keep? Not sure what kind of windmill or tower you have? Post photos of the mystery object here for the community to help identify.

It is the main shaft out of a (wooden blade ?) POWER mill. ID of mill unknown.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Is that a P inside that thing on the arms on the Front? Bet that emblem is used on other things they built. Peerless, Perkins?

Nah, not a windmill part. Its far too light weight for any type of power mill, I own or have owned power mills in 12' 14' and 16' and none have anything close to that fragile of shaft and spiders. Second clue is the spiders are just pinned to the shaft with small bolts. This is a shaft assembly for an old time grain binder reel. Might stick my neck out a little and even suggest that the 'M' on the one spider may indicate its from a McCormick Deering machine...

You present a compelling case councilor. Unless there’s more evidence I think the defendant goes to the farming equipment pile.
Thanks
