Jim Koch needs your thoughts and prayers

Generally speaking, this area is for general discussion about things in general, in most cases.

this an update from yesterday
Jim is still in the hospital . They are scheduled to begin giving him nutrition through the tube & the monitor to make sure it works before he can be released.
Jim is so anxious to get home and Beth can’t wait to take him. She is asking for prayers tonight that the feeding tube does it’s thing & that Jim gets to come home soon. And that Jimmy keeps his spirits up and eyes on God.

From Mimi Sams on Facebook just a few minutes ago:
Jim has just been taken back for his second surgery-please pray for success!
Big things ARE happening! Jim’s potassium went up significantly this morning and is getting close to where it needs to be, And, He finally got moved to a room with a window right down from the chaplains office! This is a HUGE praise! He has been going nuts in a hospital dungeon and now gets to see the sun again- so important for a guy who loves the outdoors like Jim Koch does.

I just got this off of Facebook:
Mimi Sams wrote:
It is with great sadness that I tell you that Jimmy passed away tonight. I am so happy for him because he is with Jesus. But our hearts are broken.
I want to thank each and every one of you who has been praying and encouraging us through this. Even though we rarely responded, we read every message and post and it gave us strength, hope, courage to keep going. I cannot express how much that has meant to both of us to feel so loved. So I will simply say again, thank you all.
There have been many people asking what they can do to help or care for us in this time. And now I know what we need most. I am asking anyone who wants to bless me and the kids and help us through this... please write (on paper!) something personal about Jimmy and what he means to you. it can be a funny story, something you love about him, some way that he helped or blessed you, something cool or awesome that you love about him, some way he showed you kindness, a great memory; it can be anything really. Please please please write it down and mail it to us. It would mean the world to me and the family to hear how much he means to all of you. We have a Big wooden box at home with prayers for him in it, and we want to fill it all the way up with stories about how wonderful he is.
Thank you tall. We love you.
