Question for our Canadian Friends

Post by Wayne »

Macleods ad.jpg
While looking at a thread in Smokstak someone posted this picture of a Macleod Engine built in Canada. There is nothing in my engine books about it. Was wondering if anyone up North had seen one. :D

Macloeds put their name on all kinds of stuff. I have one of those engines I believe it to be a Hercules.

Macleod`s was a hardware outlet similar to Ace is now. They sold pretty most articles
anyone needed They would rescreen storm doors, windows Etc.,re place window glass. They no longer exist.
Run out of business by the big box stores. Most towns had an outlet that are now missed.

I was thinking it looked like a Hercules but wanted another opinion. Thanks fellas. The thread the picture came from was about the feed grinder in the picture.
