Need to anchor my 33 ft. DEMPSTER tower

Post by gregguy »

I want to pour a pad before I crane lift the tower and mill.
The instructions speak of ANCHOR PLATES. (Can they be purchased) Stop laughing, fair question.
Instruction also speak of how to set the slant.
What is the slant in degrees of a 33 ft. Dempster 4 post Style B Tower.
My goal is to build a foot which I can attach to 1 1/4 all-thread.

Open to all ideas.
The tower is assembled, new bearings in the 1903 Aremotor, new oiling platform.
What color was the casting from the factory.

Thanks......greg

Attached are anchor plate photos that you set in concrete and weld to.

Consider hinges incase you ever need to lower the tower and mill for repairs.

Thanks, looking for a solution that would accommodate the angle of the tower.
Then I can bolt to all-thread that will allow me to make and keep it plumb.

Don't know how wide your tower is at the bottom but you can lay a straight edge across the bottom of two legs then use your angle finder to get the angle. I thought some where it was 5 degrees for some not sure.
