Very interesting information. I live 18 miles from Jewell and 34 miles from Lohrville. When I got out of high school I went to work for the Iowa DOT. There I worked with a grandson of Carl Christensen, who later took over the ornamental yard windmill business. His name was Ron Christensen. If you have more info I would like to see it.

The additional info is in an article I wrote for the gazette a year ago so you may have already seen it if you’re a subscriber. I sent you a link in a PM. In doing research for the article I spoke with several Christensen family members including Ron. Ron connected me with his aunt Betty Lou. She’s Carl’s daughter from 2nd marriage, born in 1926. She was a great resource and a delight to talk to.
