Military wind generator mystery

Have a part you can't identify? Did your parts get mixed up in the shop? Curious if that chunk of metal is a part you should keep? Not sure what kind of wind generator you have? Post photos of the mystery object here for the community to help identify.

Military wind generator mystery

Post by Wind Charger Mike »

Looking for info, mfg and date. Prop is wood, 30” and appears to be original. Very well built and heavy, tail and tail mount are aluminum otherwise steel.
Thanks

Does it have a patent number?
Memory plant.... Change or clean the air filter in your air compressor! Mine runs 1/4 as much, and tools run better.

Absolutely no markings on it other that what you see in the pics. I’ve had 2 different sources say it’s a WWII field generator. One says it was made by Fairbanks-Morse, can’t confirm that yet.
