Wheel?

Have a part you can't identify? Did your parts get mixed up in the shop? Curious if that chunk of metal is a part you should keep? Not sure what kind of windmill or tower you have? Post photos of the mystery object here for the community to help identify.

Wheel?

Post by Gregg »

Can someone identify the manufacturer of this wheel? It has unique wheel clips.
Thanks,
Gregg

I don't have anything that resembles that laying around. Challenge had ribs in the sails way out by the outer edge though.

I've had 3 Dandys, and not yet seen a wheel like that. Sure would be nice if it was a Challenge.

So, Windcatcher Dan are you saying this wheel would have been for the original Dandys 1891-1894?
I was beginning to think I had a really rare item when it had gone 3 weeks without a response. Do you have a picture of the mill that it would have been on?
Thanks,
Gregg
