12 FT Woodmanse Parts

Post by Johnnyb »

I’ve got an old 12 FT Woodmanse open gear ( I think type S ) windmill I’m trying to put back together. I'm looking for the following parts.
1 - Short shaft (attaches to the internal gear)
1 – set of short shaft bearing caps
1 – set of short shaft bearings
1 – internal gear (large sungear driven by the pinion gear)
1 – back geared pitman arm (connects the inner gear to the pumping shaft)
1 – set of long shaft bearing caps
1 – set of long shaft bearings
1 – pinion gear
1 – windmill tail for 12FT Woodmanse

Is it like this one? If so, I have no idea who would have parts. We only have 6 or 8 footers here. Oh, feel free to rib me over the color scheme. ;)

Oh boy! I guess you don't need anything bigger than a 6 or 8 footer in San Francisco. I hear it's pretty windy there ;)

Is kinda cute though. Yes, it is like that one but mines only colored rusty brown and galvanized grey :)

Don’t know if your still looking but I’m pretty sure I have both the bearing caps. Don’t think I have any gears or pitman left anymore though.

Hi, thanks for the reply! Yes, I am still looking for bearing caps! I picked up the large sun/inner gear and pitman arm but still need the short and long shafts that go under the bearing caps. How much are you looking to get for the bearing caps?
