Windy I have to ask what is your method to remember the solution? If it’s proprietary information I understand

Haha! Good one Bryon.
I don't know if I can explain it. But it's something like expanding the diameter of the swivel circles. What helps to figure it out is to remember that from the swivels down, nothing rotates. From the swivels up, they do.
Keeping this in mind, you can have one swivel inside the other on the same axis. A diagram would sure be helpful. Maybe I can make one up.

Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number. IF YOU TALK TO HIM, AND HE HELPS YOU, THEN BUY FROM HIM. IT CREATES GOOD KARMA.

Oh Bryon, that rule does not work on everything when working on a Hambone.

Your Main frame has H2 on the casting, mine has B2 so is yours a 6ft and mine an 8? I have no sheet metal but it was so dainty I always assumed it was a 6ft? Thanks
Re: Freeman Clipper 6' windmill
I finished it! Thank you so much for all the advice here; I couldn’t have done it without it!
I used a bronze bushing in the rear and poured a Babbitt bearing in front to accommodate the necked down shaft.
I made aluminum covers for the oil reservoirs and am using 00 corn picker grease in them.
We placed the tower first then set the head on with a boom truck.
It takes about 7mph of wind to spin. My place is notoriously windy except the 5 days since we put it up.
It ended up being a bigger project than I anticipated when we bought it!
I posted a video of it spinning and a picture that is rotated 90degrees for reasons I can’t explain

Outstanding !
good video , it took me almost 2 years to get mine up and flying.
Looks like you could hang some weight on the end of the sucker pole to make the mill think its doing something ?
