Whisper Wind Generator

Generally speaking, this area is for general discussion about vintage wind generators, in most cases.

Interesting your friend is now getting into wind generated electricity .
It appears he has been collecting windmills for some time with such a nice collection leaning on the wall and on the shop floor .

Peter
There was a Whisper series of turbines marketed thru South West Wind Power here in the states. They were 3 blades and made from composite. Their similarity was that they furled same as the one pictured by tilting up. This was not a common design.

When SWWP went under, the Whispers were still imported but dropped in popularity. The country of origin was India. They had the same issues as most other modern small scale wind turbines - over rated output, furling design, reliability and durability
