Pete it was the last mill produced by the Flint and walling windmill Co. The wheels design is different than other wheels because the sails have their unique design and claimed they had their own patent. Also the tailvane was different than there other mills. Don't know much more about them.

Here are a few more photos. Like I said I’m green at this so if anyone has drawings or pics I would appreciate it . I’m trying to put back together , however there seems to be broken and missing parts . I plan to clean up head and paint . Then onto the tower for some minor repairs.

Sure looks like it needs taken apart completely and overhauled. There are folks on here that have done those. I have a few, but not one apart. First thing is to take things off that you can get off, like the wheel, tail hardware etc. There is information in the library section here. Just start to get familiar with it. Apply penetrating oil to everything that moves, or supposed to move. Take pictures, make notes.

I found that if you put it under your pillow and sleep on it, you'll know most things by morning. lol
Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number.

Pete, it needs to be rebuilt. It takes some work, but
it will be worth it in the end. I have rebuilt several of
these and can help with info about them. If you decide
to rebuild it, (recommended) let us know and we can
help walk you through it. There are plenty of members
on the forum that can help.

Pete , as Windybob said , take photo's , take many photo's , then take even more photo's & notes .
They will be invaluable when reassembly comes .
And it's nice to look back and see how far you have progressed in your skills .

Thanks so much for the advice. I plan on a lot of pics . I’ve been poking around the site a lot of good info. Once hay season slows down I’ll move it into the barn and start the process of restoring . I will start the penetrating oil now and keep on it . I’ll definitely post and be asking a lot of questions thanks again .
