Baker fan rotation

Generally speaking, this area is for general discussion about windmills, in most cases.

Baker fan rotation

Post by CTXmiller »

Saw this Baker Monitor for sale online with what looks like an Aermotor wheel. Curious how that would work out with the difference in wheel rotation direction.

It won't oil properly. The thrust on the bearings is now off the bearings for the most part. The pitman will try to shove the rocker arm up from off center.

At least the gears will wear on the better side now. ;)
Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number.

I guess there is “sort” of a plus side then for the purchaser. Thanks

It's probably better off chained to that pole.
