Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum. And new to windmills. I've been fixing up a F&W 37 8 foot windmill. I've been working on it for several years. It was a huge mess when I got it. A friend of mine found it in Oregon. I went down to help load it etc. After he had it for a while he decided it was way to rough for him. So I traded a old model T truck for it. It was super rough. It had been on a wood tower. And the whole thing had fallen to the ground. So I worked for a while just trying to get things back to the right shape. It had fallen over backwards. So it bent the tailbone into a J shape. Blades were bent and broken. And the motor housing was broken. As luck would have it. I was able to trade a almost perfect 10 ft Aermotor fan for a motor that I was able to get working. Thanks to Hugh Grim! Well now after a few years of work its almost ready to go up. It's going to go back to pumping water again.
