Dan , the shaft hole & key-way are not important , they both can be reamed out to fit . The gear body is the part needed , machine shop can bore hole .
I took gear to my favorite shop today & after much discussion the cost to make a new gear is approx , whow , a LOT of money !!!!!!!

Saw this Dempster pinion with 15 teeth on eBay. Maybe something like that could work with a little modification?

I compared it to a Dempster 8 ft mill gear, and the Dempster was too small. Hopefully that 10 ft one will measure up. I don't have anything 10 ft.

Thanks for posting that.
Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number.

Don't know why they cost so much after all it's the machine that does all the work. HMMM I guess you pay for that knowledge of being able to set up the machine to do the work. He He
