Mill in weeds: what have I got?

Have a part you can't identify? Did your parts get mixed up in the shop? Curious if that chunk of metal is a part you should keep? Not sure what kind of windmill or tower you have? Post photos of the mystery object here for the community to help identify.

And a few more photos. I think this finishes all the images I have that are worth posting. Regarding the view of the bonnet stenciling that indicates an oil capacity of 3 Qts., is this any help in knowing the size of the mill? (Bigger mill might require more oil.......?)

That may be a 10 footer, not sure. I believe an 8 footer holds 2 quarts. That wheel coming apart on that thing really sliced up the helmet. Looks fixable though. Not sure about the number on the snout.
Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number.

That has to be a 10’. I had one that was 8’ and the hub only had one bolt hole on the inner hub as yours has 2 bolts. The one I had wasn’t locked up, but wasn’t pretty either….dropped it off with Steve Adams a few months back. The 8’ and 9’ are pretty much identical part # wise, so I think yours is a 10’

I had just come across a spec. chart for these and I believe it said the 10' had six spokes. I think that fits from what I see of the nose on my photos. Sure getting close. I've spoken for it, we just have to work it out.
