The Texas Electric grid

Post by Wayne »

Our wonderful Governor Abbott has been telling his usual lies about how the wonderful Texas Electric grid is up and ready to perform in all kinds of weather. I'll tell you my story. I get home yesterday about noon. Setting in my chair my lights go off and then right back on. Knocks off some of my clocks not all, and doesn't shut down my computer. That continues during the day. I text my next door neighbor and ask him if he is experiencing the same thing. He said yes and Oncor told him the power would be back up at 5. I said it's not off it's just blinking. I didn't know what they knew. At 5:30 the power goes off and now Oncor says power will be back on at Midnight. Get my Aladdin Lamp and light it. Set in my chair with out any heat, it's 20 outside with a North wind. Thank goodness the lamp puts out a little heat. We ate a sandwich, set in our chair napping. Finally at 10;50 it came back on. Went to bed, when I got up I saw where it had blinked again during the night because some of my clocks weren't on time anymore. As Will Rogers said you can tell a Politician is lying if his lips are moving.

Can't believe he gets re-elected. Once again, the takers outvote the makers.

Good luck, hope you get thru it till it passes.

I think we've been making a mistake giving politicians everything they want and need: They should be treated like they treat us. Maybe we should switch off the lights and heat at the Governor's mansion, stop their police protection, let the air out of the limo's tires, and while we're at it, withdraw their health insurance and retirement...Oh, and then, make meaningless promises about all of it....(I'd bet we'd see some fast changes being made!)
