G'day from Tasmania

Post by Stephen Scott »

G'day Peoples,
I have a working Alston 33 windmill, I'm not good with computers but have tried to upload a video of windmill.
The windmill was refurbished and erected on this site about 25 years ago, the oil pump has stopped working on last inspection and my question to the brains trust is, can the oil pump be removed without taking the back plate from the main housing ?
I have loosened the oil pump at the top of the bottom section but it seems it is also attached on the bottom.
A good picture of the gearbox if anybody has one would be appreciated.

It's been a while since I rebuilt mine, here's what the inside looks like with the cover off. I think the cover needs to come off to get the pump out.
