Hi, I have a 1978 or so Wincharger 200watt 12volt. The voltage regulator device bolted to tail section was smashed. Was wondering about using a 10A solar controller in place of the destroyed transistorized unit. Does the pos. go to controller first ? only 2 terminals on slip ring. Id like to have a picture of the intact device on a working Wincharger like mine.
Thanks, Ed

Wincharger :Model W02HS4D-212H/A
Ser 75175 U 83
Volts 12
watts 200
Mian question:What is the transistorized unit? Did it turn the circuit on / off based on wind speed? I built a wind machine in 1981 that had a small wind vane hooked to a momentary switch that turned the alternator on when it hit 7 mph. My question is if I can abandon the 12 gauge multi-strand wire hooked to broken transistorized/ capacitor device all together? I would use a solar controller 20amp or so...? Im assuming there is no replacement part for this wincharger unit.
