In Spanish, but around the 3:00 mark, it shows how the entire gear assembly goes in/comes out, with only 3 bolts. Looks like the snout is much shorter than a 702/802. Looks like it DOES use “plastic” bearings.

Any thoughts on these, vs. the Aermotor 802?? Obviously, the 802 is probably much easier to get parts for, since it’s so similar to the 702.

Who owns American West, now (American distributor for FIASA)?? I know they got sold, but their website doesn’t mention who owns them…

Yes, they've been a part of Aermotor for a couple of years.

Yes, Aermotor bought the American West Co. and built a new warehouse to import and distribute Fiasa mills from San Angelo, Tx next to the Aermotor factory.

Didn’t know they were warehousing them in San Angelo. Thought maybe it was still in Amarillo, or down near Lubbock… Strange they don’t “inform” the public more about the benefits of a new 802 (or 902). Guess they figure that’s more for the people who work on them/install them (not to mention, if you want a NEW windmill, you’ve really only got one place to go, these days).

So, the 6/8/10 Model 702 style is “no more” (unless you get a Mexican-made mill or a 12/14/16 Fiasa)??
