Oil Soaked Wood Bearings

Post by hwy8 »

I'm getting ready to soak some wooden bearings and no matter what the project, I'm always looking for more information. Here's a link that discusses oil soaked bearings as used in third world countries: https://www.appropedia.org/Oil_Soaked_W ... cal_Brief)
Under the "Dehydration" heading, there's an interesting description of knowing when "the cooking is done". (By the way, "groundnut oil" is peanut oil and unless an ox is pulling your cart, other publications suggest not using it.)
